In a movie theater, the sound from one auditorium should not disturb the adjacent
one, and within the auditorium itself, it should be clear and echo-free. This requires

 * Powerful sound systems in cinemas create levels above 100 dB, so very high sound
   insulation is required between the halls – usually multi-layer structures with
   an Rw index of 60 dB or higher.
 * The reverberation time of a cinema hall is made short – approximately 0.3-0.7
   seconds depending on the volume, so that the sound is determined by the system,
   and not by the hall.
 * Low frequencies pass through structures best, which is why vibration isolation
