Results of field tests of additional airborne noise insulation using a floating floor structure using Shumoplast material. ![](https://www.acoustic.ru/data/img/shumoplast/Shumoplast_graph_2.png) ### Physical and technical characteristics * Thermal conductivity – no more than 0.050 W/m0C * Sorption moisture content no more than 3.6% * Water absorption under partial immersion 0.575 kg/ ^(m2) * Density 67.5 kg/ ^(m3) * Shrinkage under a load of 2000 Pa is no more than 3% ### Package The ready-to-use SHUMOPLAST mixture is packaged in 0.2 ^(m³) polyethylene bags, weighing 13.5 kg each. SHUMOPLAST-GRUNT, a primer for treating vertical surfaces, is supplied in 3/8/15 kg plastic buckets. ### Material consumption With a layer thickness of 20 mm, the material consumption is one PE bag per 10 sq.m of surface. When treating a surface 100 mm wide, the consumption of primer mass is 120 g per 1 running meter. #### 󠀁[Installation](https://uzbuild.com/en/shumoplast-2/#1704517376252-8ed6b5bc-2b5e)󠁿 Before installing a standard 20 mm thick coating, construction waste with a fraction size of more than 10 mm must be removed from the surface of the ceiling. To increase adhesion, the surfaces of walls and columns are pre-primed with the SHUMOPLAST-GRUNT compound before coating. Shumoplast is applied to the ceiling either manually or mechanically. The material is compacted to the required thickness using a polyurethane trowel.
