Vibroflex SM type A
Vibroflex SM type A
Vibration-isolating supports for engineering equipment.
Vibroflex SM are vibration-isolating elastomeric mounts with a metal plate for load distribution. Vibroflex SM mounts use Sylomer, a polyurethane elastomer manufactured by Getzner, as the elastic element.
The supports are designed for effective vibration isolation of various engineering equipment:
- elevator winches
- ventilation and air conditioning systems
- refrigeration machines
- cogeneration systems
- presses and stamping machines
- all types of machines that are sources of vibration or must be protected from vibration
Distinctive features:
- Wide range of loads;
- Ready-made solution, quick installation;
- Unified sizes;
- Precisely defined vibration isolation characteristics;
- Low cost;
- Multipurpose application.
The type of support used depends on the applied load and the required vibration isolation efficiency.
The selection is made in accordance with the data in the table (see table).

Description
Operation and maintenance
Vibroflex SM supports do not require maintenance, provided that the installation and operating instructions are followed:
- The load on the Vibroflex SM supports must always be transferred only through the upper distribution plate.
- The static load on Vibroflex SM supports must not exceed the values indicated in the table.
- Short-term dynamic peak loads up to three times exceeding the nominal values do not cause residual deformations or changes in the dynamic properties of the supports.
- The maximum permissible values of horizontal load on the Vibroflex SM support must not exceed 25% of the value of the acting vertical load.
- When installing machines that generate horizontal forces, special types of supports are required. Proposals for installing such supports are available upon request.
Environmental sustainability
Vibroflex SM supports are made of an elastic material that is resistant to oils, greases, and moisture.
However, contact with solvents should be avoided. Although Vibroflex SM supports are moisture-resistant, they should not be continuously immersed in water. Exposure to intense ultraviolet radiation may cause the elastomer layer to discolor, but the physical properties of the supports will remain unchanged. The operating temperature of Vibroflex SM supports
ranges from -30°C to +70°C.
- To attach Vibroflex SM supports to equipment, the upper distribution plate is provided with an M12 thread.
- As a rule, securing Vibroflex SM supports to the foundation is not required. In cases where structural or other requirements require the supports to be secured to the foundation, supports with a bottom metal plate (Type B) should be used.
- Vibration-isolating mounts must rest completely on the underlying surface. Surfaces on which Vibroflex SM mounts are installed must be level and horizontal.
- The supports are installed at least 2 cm away from adjacent building elements. The supports must be positioned under the machine to ensure uniform settlement of the elements under load.
- The stability and robustness of machines with a small footprint and high centre of gravity must be further checked.
