Akuflex-Super
Akuflex-Super
The Akuflex-Super soundproofing underlay is designed to reduce impact noise levels in interfloor structures during renovation and construction in all types of buildings and structures.
Akuflex-Super is a universal, environmentally friendly soundproofing material. Recommended for use as a resilient layer in floating flooring systems, as well as an underlay for finished flooring.
Scope of application
Akuflex-Super is used as an elastic underlayment layer under the leveling screed in soundproof flooring constructions, and as a compensating soundproofing underlayment under finished floor coverings such as laminate or natural parquet boards.
Compound
The material is made of 100% polyester fiber with a polypropylene film coating. Manufactured in accordance with TU 23.99.19-007-28789041-2019.
Distinctive features
- Universal application: under levelling screed and/or finishing floor covering;
- The polypropylene film coating acts as a separating layer and allows the screed and final floor covering to be laid directly on the material;
- The fibrous structure of the material guarantees stable high acoustic performance throughout its entire service life;
- Akuflex-Super increases the service life of the final floor covering due to microcirculation of air and moisture, and protects against the effects of residual moisture in the leveling screed.
Description
- Roll width: 1.5 m
Roll length: 10 m
Thickness: 4 mm
Roll weight: 7 kgTechnical specifications
- Surface density of the material is 450 g/m2
- Dynamic modulus of elasticity under a load of 200 kg/m2, Ed – 0.18 MPa
- Relative compression under a load of 200 kg/m2, ε – 0.14
Reduction of the reduced impact noise level:
- Impact noise reduction index under screed 120 kg/ m2, Ln,w – 27 dB
- Impact noise reduction index under 8 mm thick laminated parquet board, Ln,w – 20 dB
The standard value of the reduced impact noise level for ceilings between apartment rooms is Lnw ≤ 60 dB. (SP 51.13330.2011)
Installation instructions for “Akuflex-Super” under a screed:
- The floor surface is cleared of sharp burrs, protruding reinforcement and construction debris;
- “Akuflex-Super” is installed on the subfloor under a leveling cement-sand screed at least 60 mm thick. The screed is made of sand concrete of grade M300 or higher and is reinforced with a metal mesh with a 50×50 mm mesh size and a 4 mm rod diameter to provide increased mechanical strength.
- The rolls are unrolled and cut according to the specified dimensions in such a way as to completely cover the floor area and at the same time ensure that the material is carried onto the walls or columns to a height greater than the level of the screed;
- The surface of the material covered with film must be facing upwards, adjacent rolls are rolled out with an overlap of joints of at least 50 mm, the seams are sealed with construction tape.
Installation instructions for Akuflex-Super under the final floor covering:
- The existing subfloor is cleared of construction debris and, if necessary, leveled with a special mixture or cement-sand mortar. The permissible difference in subfloor level should be no more than 2 mm for every 2 meters of length in any direction;
- After installing the leveling screed, work on installing the floor covering must be carried out after the floor base has reached the level of moisture acceptable for the use of the selected type of floor covering;
- Akuflex-Super is rolled out over the entire floor surface, film side down, and cut to the specified dimensions with a sharp knife or scissors. The material is laid end to end without gaps. The joints between the sheets are sealed with tape for securement.
- Laying parquet boards or laminated parquet must be carried out in accordance with the technology of the manufacturer of these coverings in case of installation using the “floating” method.
