Light butts SCANDIC
Lightweight, water-repellent thermal insulation boards made from natural basalt-based stone wool. Specifically designed for use in private home construction.
A NEW LEVEL OF QUALITY
SKANDIK is a unique ROCKWOOL product, thanks to its revolutionary fiber quality, which allows the boards to be compressed up to 70%. Thanks to vacuum compression packaging, you can transport three times more material in a single trip than with conventional packaging.
ROCKWOOL’s engineering developments ensure the material has excellent recovery properties and maintains high performance across all parameters. An additional advantage of the boards is their unique “Flexy” technology: one edge of the board can be compressed and released, making installation of the material on a wooden or metal frame much easier and faster. Thanks to “Flexy” technology, the insulation fits snugly into the frame without gaps, eliminating thermal bridges and ensuring a more secure fit. The “Flexy” edge is located on the long side of the board and is marked on the end face.
Durability: Research conducted in accordance with DSTU B V 2.7-182:2009 demonstrates that ROCKWOOL SKANDIK insulation maintains its thermal insulation properties for 100 years. This unique feature makes this product unique, unmatched on the Russian market.
For convenience, the product is available in two sizes:
Standard 800×600 (50 and 100 mm thick). The compact size allows for space-saving transport in a passenger car, thus increasing vehicle load capacity.
PRODUCT ADVANTAGES:
- Durability – 100 years service life
- FLEXI technology – quick and easy installation
- Packaging compression up to 70%
- Fire safety
- Eco-friendliness
- Effectively repels moisture
- Biostability
Description
SKANDIK thermal insulation boards are used in the following structures:
- pitched roofs / attic spaces
- partitions
- interfloor ceilings
- frame walls
- walls with siding cladding
- floors on joists
- balconies
SKANDIK thermal insulation boards are designed for use as a non-load-bearing thermal insulation layer in lightweight roof structures, attic spaces, partitions, interfloor ceilings, and walls of low-rise buildings, including vertical and inclined walls in attics.
The slabs should not be subjected to significant loads.

INSTALLATION
No special fasteners are required for installing ROCKWOOL SCANDIC stone wool slabs. The material features Flexi technology, which simplifies installation within the frame. However, the free space for installing the insulation should be 1-2 cm narrower than the slab width. The width of a ROCKWOOL SCANDIC slab is 600 mm.
The spring edge is marked on the end and is located on the long side of the slab (800 or 1200 mm), the width of the edge itself is 50 mm.
