ROCKFASADE
Developed specifically for private home construction, Rockfacade is the ideal product for insulating thin-layer plaster facades and will serve as a reliable foundation for a durable facade.
ROKFASAD – rigid thermal insulation boards made of stone wool, which are used as thermal insulation on the external side of facades.
Description
APPLICATION
ROKFASAD slabs are used as thermal insulation on the exterior of facades.
The product not only provides thermal and sound insulation but also serves as a base for plastering. ROKFASAD slabs can also be used on facades with bonded clinker tiles.
Application scheme:

- Special adhesive mixture
- Rockwool stone wool insulation boards from ROCKFASAD
- Facade dowel
- Reinforcing putty
- Fiberglass mesh
- Water-dispersion primer
- Decorative mineral plaster
- Facade silicone paint
- Base profile
| Density | 100-115 kg/m³ |
|---|---|
| Thermal conductivity | λ 10 = 0.037 W/(m K) λ 25 = 0.038 W/(m K) λ A = 0.040 W/(m K) λ B = 0.042 W/(m K) |
| Flammability group | NG. Fire hazard class – KM0 |
| Compressive strength at 10% deformation, not less than | 30 kPa |
| Vapor permeability, not less than | μ = 0.3 mg/(m h Pa) |
| Tensile strength of layers, not less than | 10 kPa |
ROKFASAD stone wool slabs are packed in polyethylene film.
| Length, mm | Width, mm | Thickness, mm | Quantity, pcs | Area, m2 |
| 1000 | 600 | 50 | 4 | 2,4 |
| 1000 | 600 | 100 | 2 | 1,2 |
- Insulation work should be carried out at a temperature of no lower than +5 °C and no higher than +30;
- The building base must be strong and clean (dust and various contaminants must be removed);
- Wall surfaces with unevenness of more than ±10 mm must be leveled with cement-lime mortar;
- We install ROKFASAD thermal insulation boards with overlapping joints (similar to brickwork). Before applying the main mass of adhesive to the insulation, rub a small amount of adhesive into the surface of the board to ensure optimal adhesion.
- The drying time of the glue before fixing with dowels is at least 3 days;
- After the adhesive has dried, the insulation is mechanically secured with plate dowels, at least 5 per row and 6 per edge per slab (for buildings up to 16 m tall). Dowels are selected based on the wall material.
- In parts of the building that are particularly subject to various loads (external corners, tops of openings, junctions of slopes with opening blocks, etc.), it is advisable to use special profiles;
- We apply the reinforcing solution to the insulation using a trowel with 10 x 10 mm teeth, and then embed a fiberglass mesh with alkali-resistant impregnation into it;
- The mesh panels must overlap by at least 100 mm. The mesh should be embedded so that it is not visible from under the reinforcing mortar. The mesh must not touch the insulation surface.
- The total minimum thickness of the protective-decorative and base layers is 6 mm, and on the slopes of openings – 8 mm;
- Decorative facade mineral plaster is applied with the smooth side of a stainless steel trowel;
- Depending on the texture, the decorative pattern is created by rubbing (the same movements: in a circle, vertically or horizontally) with a plastic grater;
- We paint the dried decorative plaster with silicone paint using a brush or roller no earlier than 7 days after applying the plaster (this paint is vapor-permeable and resistant to dirt);
- The applied materials (reinforcing mortar, plaster, paint) must be protected from rain and direct sunlight by hanging a special protective net on the scaffolding.
The design features of this type of façade system require consultation with the developers themselves. These recommendations for insulation with a thin external plaster layer are based on the ROCKFACADE façade system.
