Shumanet-Thermo
Shumanet-Thermo
Shumanet-Thermo is a heat and sound insulating material designed for use as an elastic layer in floating soundproof floor structures to improve the thermal insulation of the ceiling and reduce the transmission of impact noise through it.
Shumanet-Thermo is a thermal and sound insulation material used to improve the thermal insulation properties of ceilings and reduce the transmission of impact noise. It is recommended for use as a basic solution;
Shumanet-Thermo material is manufactured in accordance with TU 23.99.19-014-28789041-2020.
Scope of application
Shumanet-Termo material is intended for use as an elastic layer in the construction of floating soundproof floors during the construction, reconstruction and restoration of buildings and structures of all types and purposes.
Compound
The Shumanet-Thermo material consists of an elastic fibrous sound-absorbing layer on a mineral base, enclosed in a non-woven shell.
Distinctive features
-
- Non-woven fabric reduces the emission of particles of fibers of the elastic sound-absorbing layer;
- Combination of soundproofing, sound-absorbing and thermal insulation properties in one material;
- High impact noise reduction rates – up to 30 dB;
- High sound absorption properties;
- High thermal insulation properties.
Description
- Length of the canvas – 7 m;
- Canvas width – 1.4 m;
- Web thickness – 9 mm;
- Package weight: 14.5 kg.
Physical and technical characteristics
- Thermal conductivity – no more than 0.027 W/(m.K);
- Reduction of the reduced impact noise level ∆Lnw under a leveling screed with a surface density of 120 kg/m2: Shumanet-Thermo – 31 dB;
- The sound absorption index αw at a distance of 40 mm from the hard surface is 0.6.
- Before installing a floor structure using Shumanet-Thermo, the base must be thoroughly cleared of construction debris. The base must be level, and any protruding elements such as reinforcement or concrete overhangs must be removed.
- Shumanet-Termo is laid on the prepared base, overlapping the joints of adjacent sheets of material by at least 100 mm. The material must be extended onto the walls to a height slightly greater than the height of the screed being installed. Joints between adjacent sheets are sealed with reinforced tape. Before installing the screed, the surface of the material is covered with a separating layer of polyethylene film, which is also applied to all vertical surfaces.
- Next, a cement-sand screed is installed using sand concrete grade M300 or higher or ready-mix concrete at least 60 mm thick. The screed must be reinforced with a metal mesh with a mesh size of 50×50 mm and a rod diameter of 4 mm. The mesh should be positioned in the lower third of the screed, 15-20 mm above the Shumanet-Termo material.
- For large floor surfaces, the screed is applied in sections no larger than 30 m², with expansion joints required. Shumanet-Thermo or Vibrostek-M edge tape in two layers can be used in expansion joint areas.
- After the screed has set, any excess Shumanet-Termo material protruding around the perimeter is trimmed with a utility knife. The resulting joints are filled with Vibrosil vibroacoustic sealant.
