ZIPS-FLOOR Module, sandwich panel
The ZIPS-POL Module, a prefabricated, entry-level soundproofing panel system, is an effective solution for additional soundproofing between floors. It completely addresses impact sound insulation issues while simultaneously increasing the insulation of airborne noise, including speech, dog barking, television and radio equipment, and the like (the system’s operating range for airborne sound insulation is from 80 Hz).
The ZIPS-POL Module panel system is one of the most effective and technologically advanced soundproofing solutions for reinforced concrete floors. The materials and production technologies used have resulted in a sandwich panel that virtually eliminates impact noise and significantly reduces the penetration of household appliances and human voices. The system’s operating range covers virtually the entire frequency spectrum of household noises perceptible to humans.
Scope of application
The ZIPS-POL Module is used during construction and renovation work in residential buildings to reduce noise levels through reinforced concrete floors. Installation is very simple and requires no wet work. ZIPS-POL Module panels provide excellent results in rooms with moderate noise levels.
Compound
The ZIPS-POL module consists of a layer of basalt-based sound-absorbing boards, gypsum fiber sheets, and vibration-isolating supports made of polyurethane foam, which serve to eliminate rigid connections to the subfloor. 20 mm thick gypsum fiber sheets and an 18 mm thick finishing layer of plywood are screwed onto the panels. The thickness of the panels, including the finishing layer, screwed in place with a special elastic mastic, is 110 mm.

Storage
ZIPS panels should be stored in dry, enclosed spaces, protected from precipitation. The panels should be placed on wooden pallets, boards, or other support materials without sagging.

Impact and airborne noise insulation According to full-scale tests taking into account indirect sound transmission paths, the impact noise reduction index of the ZIPS-POL prefabricated panel system is Modulus: ΔLn,w = 32 dB. According to full-scale tests taking into account indirect sound transmission paths, the additional airborne noise insulation index of the ZIPS-POL panel system is Modulus: ΔRw = 7 – 9 dB.
The ZIPS-POL Vector prefabricated panel system is installed in strict accordance with the “ Installation Instructions ”.
