ROCKWOOL sealing tape
ROCKWOOL sealing tape is a self-adhesive, single-sided tape based on foamed polyethylene, used for vibration insulation and sealing seams and joints in lightweight frame structures with a sound-absorbing layer of stone wool.
It is designed for tight connection of metal profiles of the frame of cladding and partitions with load-bearing building structures at the junction points, while maintaining the required soundproofing properties.
Description
It is designed for tight connection of metal profiles of the frame of cladding and partitions with load-bearing building structures at the junction points, while maintaining the required soundproofing properties.
Installation recommendations
- The work surface must be pre-cleaned from contaminants, degreased and dried.
- To create effective contact, it is necessary to press the tape tightly to the surface of the metal profile.
Not recommended
- Install the tape at temperatures below +5C°.
- Stretch the tape
Advantages
- Seals joints
- Reduces sound penetration through joints with structures
- Absorbs vibration
- Reduces the likelihood of cracks in plasterboard structures due to its damping properties
| Parameter | Meaning |
| Adhesion to steel Afera 5001A |
not less than 6 N/cm |
