FLOR BATTS

Rigid, water-repellent thermal insulation boards made from gabbro-basalt-based stone wool. These boards have dynamic properties that meet noise protection requirements and are classified as highly effective soundproofing spacer materials.

FLOOR BATTS® are rigid boards made of rock-based mineral wool. Insulate the floors of your apartment or cottage with soundproofing boards. These boards reduce impact noise by up to 37 dB at a thickness of 25 mm, create a comfortable floor temperature, are non-flammable, and are completely impervious to moisture. They are often used for soundproofing hotels, movie theaters, and offices.

Rigid, water-repellent thermal insulation boards made from gabbro-basalt-based stone wool. These boards have dynamic properties that meet noise protection requirements and are classified as highly effective soundproofing spacer materials.

It is permanent because the material does not shrink during the entire period of use.

Description

FLOOR BATTS boards are designed for acoustic floating floors and for thermal insulation of floors on the ground. They are suitable for floors with a standard load of up to 3 kPa.

Application area:

  • under cement screed
  • under the self-leveling screed
  • under heated floors
  • under a screed made of plywood, gypsum fiber board, OSB, cement particle board
Nominal density 110 kg/m3; 115 kg/m3 for thicknesses of 25 and 30 mm
Flammability group NG (non-flammable material)
Fire hazard class of building material KM0
Thermal conductivity λ 10 = 0.037 W/(m K)
λ D = 0.037 W/(m K)
λ A = 0.039 W/(m K)
λ B = 0.041 W/(m K)
Vapor permeability coefficient μ = 0.3 mg/(m h Pa)
Water absorption under full immersion, no more than 1.0 kg/ m2

FLOOR BATTS stone wool slabs are packed in polyethylene film.

For consumer convenience, 25mm thick slabs are available in improved packaging, which indicates both the product’s intended application and, in a clear and accessible manner, presents all the material’s most important characteristics and advantages.

STANDARD SIZES

Thickness, mm 25
Width, mm 600
Length, mm 1000
Number of slabs in a package 8
Quantity of m2 in a package 4,8
Quantity m3 in a package 0,12
FLOR BATTS

1 – Prepare the required number of ROCKWOOL FLOOR BATTS® slabs. Use the slabs to create strips that are taller than the overall thickness of the floor structure.

FLOR BATTS

2 and 3 – Install sound-insulating spacers and ROCKWOOL FLOOR BATTS® boards in parallel. Install the spacers first, then press them down with ROCKWOOL FLOOR BATTS® boards.

FLOR BATTS

4 – The prefabricated screed is installed in two layers over the ROCKWOOL FLOOR BATTS® boards. The joints between the sheets of the bottom layer must be overlapped by the sheets of the top layer. The layers themselves must be fastened with self-tapping screws. If installing a cement screed, a polyethylene film must be placed over the ROCKWOOL FLOOR BATTS® boards.

FLOR BATTS

5 – After installing the screed, trim the protruding soundproofing pads to the screed height. Then, the final floor covering can be installed.
